Daniel J. Douglas, broker-in-charge of Douglas and Company Real Estate, LLC has recently opened its new office at 409 Lexington Avenue in Chapin, South Carolina.

Dan has two successful decades of real estate experience beginning with Wilson-Kibler and later becoming the first realtor hired by Wilder Realty in Chapin.

Dan has been successful in his specialization of commercial and residential property sales. His years of experience also include the sale of undeveloped land, hunting tracts and farms. To Douglas' credit, is the development of residential neighborhoods and retail strip centers in the area.

He has been awarded the Presidents Award & Salesman of the Year and has also been a member of The Circle of Excellence by The Greater Columbia Association of Realtors.

Kyle Cannon graduated from Clemson University in 2003 with a degree in Forest Resource Management. He spent 3 ½ years working as a forestry consultant before joining Douglas and Company Real Estate in 2007 to pursue his real estate passion. Kyle enjoys spending his free time hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. He is a lifetime resident of Chapin and an active member of St. Peters Lutheran Church.

Kyle’s passion lies with recreational properties. However, he is equally adept at handling residential and commercial property sales. Melissa Dille began her real estate interest in 1994 buying dilapidated residential homes in need of restoration. She started the Diane Keller Group in 1995 and bought and restored approximately 16 homes in need of repair. After her attention to detail grew, she worked in the legal industry for 12 years before deciding that real estate was where her heart belonged. She began working for Douglas and Company in March of 2007.

 
Melissa and her husband are avid Harley Davidson riders and USC Gamecock fans who have two grown children with the youngest son attending USC and the oldest a new bride. They enjoy entertaining their family and friends as often as possible and also enjoy traveling to the islands with Cozumel being one of their favorite destinations.

I am Bob Falsetti and I retired from General Motors with 30 years of service.  I have six children and five grandchildren.  I moved to Chapin from Michigan in July 2005. 

I believe it's very important in giving back to our community; therefore,  I usher and volunteer for Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Chapin, I am President of the Men's Club at the church, I volunteer for Department of Juvenile Justice, and I also donate blood to the Red Cross.

Pam Mitchell began her real estate career with Coldwell Banker United and decided to join the team at Douglas & Company Real Estate in March 2008.

She has been married for 30 years to her high school sweetheart, Bill Mitchell, who is the pastor of Chapin Fellowship Church.  Together, they have three grown children, a daughter-in-law, son-in-law and a chocolate lab named Bailey.  She recently became a grandmother.

She loves meeting new people and spending time with family and friends.  She is devoted to her home community of Chapin and has been involved in the following organizations:

In January of 2008 I began my real estate career with Douglas & Company Real Estate, LLC.  Prior to becoming an agent, my background was in the commercial property management industry.  I have over 16 years of experience working in the corporate realm in downtown Columbia and developed extensive customer service relationships with numerous tenants and vendors managing commercial office space.  I feel that my property management background was a good stepping-stone to my new career.

Kelly Cannon began her real estate career with Douglas & Company Real Estate in 2008.  She is a native of Chapin and an active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Chapin.

Richard B. "Dick" Weldon has lived in the Chapin area for 38 years.  He has been married to Deanie Weldon for 57 years and together they have three sons and five grandchildren.

Dick is a graduate of Bennettsville High School and Presbyterian College.  He has been in real estate for 25 years and has served in the United States Marine Corps.

As a head coach of high school sports teams, he amassed 562 wins, 214 losses and 8 ties.  In addition, he coached at The University of South Carolina for 11 years.

Dick is a member of Chapin United Methodist Church and is active in the Chapin community.  He has served as past president of the Ruritans, Sertomas and Chamber of Commerce. 

Alison is a lifelong resident of Newberry County.  Through various clubs and organizations she has established numerous contacts in Newberry, Lexington, and Richland Counties.  Whether attending a school or church committee meeting, Alison is constantly making contacts and working for her clients to get the job done!

Melinda Shealy Krell is an experienced agent who has been working in the Chapin area for the past ten years.  She has had extensive experience in representation of buyers and sellers and truly enjoys getting to know her clients on a personal basis.

She was born and raised in the Chapin area and was previously a Shealy.  As a native of Chapin, she has seen tremdous growth in this area.  She enjoys the outdoors and likes to turkey hunt. 

Melinda is married to Steve Krell and they have two children.

For Scott White, joining the sales team at Douglas and Company Real Estate was two fold.  First was to partner with his wife, Alison and secondly because Douglas and Company offers the professionalism and integrity needed to grow their real estate business.  Working as a team allows these ‘double agents’ to offer more options to clients.  In addition to advising, marketing, and negotiating for buyers and sellers, Scott and Alison have the inside track on home repair, cleaning, and staging.   They are a full service team!

Scott has twenty-five years of sales and management experience nationally and abroad in the Marine and Boating Industries.  Having lived and worked in Richland, Lexington, and Newberry Counties, he is knowledgeable in all of the midlands area.  In his free time, Scott enjoys hunting, college football, the beach, and being on the lake with family and friends.

Having moved to Columbia from New England in 1990, I currently live with my husband in Chapin and have two adult sons. I entered the real estate business in 2001 and immediately loved it.   Working with people to help them meet their real estate needs or to find just the right home is extremely satisfying to me.  This aspect of the business is what most attracted me to my career as a real estate professional.  My experience spans from general brokerage, new home sales, real estate auctions, REO/Corporate owned real estate and property management.

Robin and Dan pack a powerful 1-2 punch when it comes to real estate. Prior to getting his real estate license and joining his wife Robin, Dan was a finance executive with one of the largest FORTUNE 500 homebuilders in the country as well as with a large regional homebuilder. Dan has also been the Chief Financial Officer of a real estate development company. Currently, when he is not assisting his wife, Dan is the Chief Financial Officer of Harvey, Casterline & Vallini LLP the largest real estate law firm in South Carolina.

Robin was already having a very successful career as a real estate agent prior to teaming with her husband Dan. However, they realized that if they brought together their vast knowledge of the real estate industry from every aspect of the business, they would be able to provide unparalleled service.  Robin has extensive experience with new construction since representing a home builder for two years.  Investment properties are also a specialty as they own and manage multiple income producing properties and have profited from renovating several others.

They have three children, ages 1 to 17, and live in the Chapin area.  When not working, you will find them boating on Lake Murray, golfing or watching the children’s sporting events.
